Eeeeek! I have successfully learned how to use the LJMigrate program to move the Prophet entries over the IJ.

Unfortunately, the backdate command does NOT work for communities and I am spamming the hell out of the 186 people on IJ who're watching the [info]sshp_prophet. Sorry!!!!

Please either unfriend or filter it off your IJ Flist for the next couple of days. Our next edition will be out Sunday morning US EST time.

XD That's the worse thing about communities, I think. They spam the heck out of you when moving, because they can't backdate?

But the filter list sounds like a good idea. ^^

PS. If you've tried LJMigrate, I'm assuming you worked out the python thing? Is it difficult? <--total computer idiot on this end.

It wasn't difficult, but the chasm between Mac users and Windows users is definitely there. I had to have Adbaculum help me because things that they use specific words for had no meaning for me. If it helps, I am writing a bit of a walkthrough with screencaps for it, but it'll probably be a couple of days before I finish.

The same thing happened with Daily Deviant. Now I am inundated by DD posts. Great idea about the filter though, wish I'd thought of it! :)

I didn't think of it, Murklins did when we realised what was happening. I'm very shamefaced that I didn't bite the bullet and learn how to use LJ Migrate before the Prophet really had watchers on IJ. I was very intimidated but thank god, it's all done now!
